Today begins the second reading period for Nobody’s Home: Modern Southern Folklore. This reading period will end on February 15, with works accepted during that time being published in spring 2021. Hopefully, you’ll see the project’s ads on New Pages and Facebook, as well.
The first period went from October 1 until December 15. The editor is reading those submissions between now and New Year’s. The first batch of works in the anthology will be published in January.
Meanwhile, you can take a look at the editor’s blog Groundwork. The original plan had involved some travel to talk with people around the South, but COVID has put a damper on those notions. Hopefully, that aspect will be possible in the spring or summer.
